The Lonely Tree
By
Treeheart
I'm a lonely little tree,
And I'm not very old,
I'm not tall,
Just very small,
And shiverering with cold.
No one wants me for a tree,
To decorate a home.
They pass me by,
I start to cry,
But then I see a Gnome!
It is the Christmas Gnome I see,
All dressed in green and red!
He asks me
To be his tree,
And sit beside his bed.
I answer him with nods of joy,
The Christmas Gnome wants me!
He makes me shine,
I look so fine,
I am a Christmas Tree!
I am a tiny Christmas Tree,
The smallest ever known..
But I still glow,
And sparkle so,
And I am not alone!
The Gnome and I are best of friends,
And we will do our part.
It's not your size,
That makes you wise,
It's Love that's in your heart.
