The Peaceful Hermit's Cave
You follow the Lethe River down
to Mirrormere Lake. This famous lake is said to have the special
property of reflecting back to you a vision that represents your inner
being, rather than reflecting
your outward appearance.
Climbing around the rocks, you find
a small cave with an opening that looks out upon the beautiful reflecting
waters. You softly enter the cave, not quite sure what to expect.
There you see a wise looking old man, who smiles at you, his eyes twinkling
in a friendly way. He does not speak, nor does he seem to be able
to do so. Instead he gestures to the walls of the cave, which seem
to be lighted by a mysterious source. As you look closely at the
walls of the cave, you see they are covered with ancient graffiti.
The wise hermit has lived many years and has learned much that could help
a wandering stranger. Yet he is very reticent, and few are able to
learn from his wisdom. Whenever you wish to examine the walls of
the cave and read the graffiti, click on the stone circle below.
